ABOUT OUR PROJECT
Adopt a family in need project is a new program by CESRA. We aim to enable private individuals or companies to sponsor and support a poor family living in poverty to start a sustainable micro-enterprise with a mission to encourage stability and self-sufficiency among Kenyan needy families.

PROCESS OF ADOPTING A FAMILY IN KENYA
  1. Adopt a family: We suggest first that you chose a family from the list.
  2. Form a Connection: As you listen and learn about your family, look to form some kind of personal connection by requesting their full background information. Their needs and their hopes in life.
  3. Realize Your Contribution: Help them begin a small microenterprise to sustain them. You will receive direct communication with them about how your money is changing their lives.
  4. Invest in Change: Don’t forget that sustainable development and real change is the goal. As you may be aware Trillions of dollars have been poured into Africa and have brought little to no real change. Therefore this program aims to make a permanent change to poor families in Kenya
  5. Advance the Cause: Spread the word about what’s happening in your family as you engage in Africa. Recruit other families to adopt a family in Kenya. As this effort multiplies, take some effort to know other families who have adopted families in Kenya as well, Share ideas, networks, etc.
VISITS: Social visits may be arranged for the first trip. The sponsor has the right to visit any time that is suitable for them and the family.

YVCO is not for Bishop Aaron Siribaleka but is Parents and our children who are referred to as Youth Vulnerable Children and orphans.
YVCO has offered over 1bn Uganda shillings as 50% grants for 2019 whereby over 2000 students in YVCO CDCs of bweyogerere, kireka, Namugongo, Nansana, mbale, Tororo ,bitereko, fortportol, who fulfilling the terms and conditions of YVCO offer. Those who are abusing YVCO on internet you should show the public what you have done for the public.

CSR launched in Kenya

A new non-profit organization has been launched to watch over those who claim they are doing good. The Center for Social Responsibility and Accountability (CESRA) aims to ensure charities and non-profit organizations are accountable - and that donor funds get to where they are supposed to go. CESRA founder and managing director Julie Nyaga says she started the organization because donors have lost trust in Kenyan-based charities and non-profit organizations. And for good reason. While many of these organizations do an excellent job and really benefit those in need, others are briefcase organizations or simply mismanage their funds. "Most of the donors whom I approached complained that NGOs in the country diverted funds so their bond members benefited, rather than spending money on helping the targeted groups," said Ms. Nyaya.
